Valuation Course
OBJECTIVES
- One of the main goals for any business is to maximize its value and an important goal of corporate finance analysis is to value a firm.
- This course therefore focuses on learning of core valuation concepts, tools and skills with this goal as the key outcome objective. The course covers the various methods of corporate valuation and follows a case based approach to enable the participants to put finance concepts into practical frameworks for valuing firms and businesses.
Prerequisites:
- Aware with the financial statements
- Understanding the cash flow statement and its sub sections
- Ability to understand the Economic conditions for a company
- Ability to Analyze the macroeconomic outlook
Familiar with the corporate finance concepts, such as the risk, Return, profitability and liquidity
Course outlines
Determining the blending value for the company
The Financial Analysis Report and how to analyze the “as is Situation”.
Setting up the strategic objectives and how to cascade it to financial objectives.
Identify the different valuation techniques.
Introduce the Discount Cash Flow techniques.
Setting up the valid assumptions for projected income statement and balance sheet statements.
Calculating the Weighted Average Cost of Capital- WACC.
